Departure date 16th October 2016 so we are T-21.
This time we are hitting the south, starting in Miami for Deb's 50th birthday and some Art Deco magic before heading down to the Florida Keys for a few days r & r. Then we will head back up to St Petersburg to visit the Dali Museum and Chilhuly Museum, then up to Pensacola to see the Blue Angels practice formation flying. Then heading to N'Awlins to experience Creole at it's finest and have a spell in The Big Easy After that we head inland to take in some Southern charm and Civil Rights history, visiting Jackson Mississippi, Montgomery Alabama before heading to the home of music Nashville Tennessee. Maybe a brief foray into Kentucky for some genuine Fried Chicken - how can we not when we are so close to the "real thing". Then its on to Memphis via Shiloh (civil war battleground) the home of Elvis at Graceland then stopping in at West Memphis, and Little Rock Arkansas. In Dallas Texas we will stand on the grassy knoll and visit the school book depository where it's alleged the fatal shot to JFK was fired from. Finally we hit up the space museum in Houston, hopefully without a problem, before heading home to NZ. Five weeks, 8 states and at a rough estimate 3000 miles of driving. Bring it on !
